Evaluation Steps/Testing Process
Before the Assessment
Intake information is gathered from various sources, including parents, teachers, and clients, to determine specific assessment needs. The testing process may include phone interviews, reviewing work samples, and/or electronic questionnaires.
Comprehensive Evaluation
A full individual educational evaluation will be conducted that includes assessment of cognitive, academic, and executive function abilities. This may take anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on age and assessment battery.
Follow Up
A meeting with the parents/client including a detailed written report and interpretation of all assessment data (present levels of performance), cognitive and academic strengths and weaknesses, diagnostic impression, summary, and recommendations that can be used in a school or work setting to create an individualized education plan including accommodations to meet the needs of diverse learners.

We know early intervention is key; therefore, we serve clients from 2nd-semester Kindergartners through Adults for full evaluations.

Arrive at the testing center in Denton. Plan on 3 hours of testing ( bring food /drinks if you like). Most testing is interactive with the evaluator on iPads. The report will be emailed to you in 2-3 weeks. After you read the report, we can review it with you in person or virtually.

Waiting to evaluate leads to lost potential, missed opportunities, and continued feelings of low self-esteem. When individuals muddle through school with a learning disability or ADHD, attempting to compensate with no accommodations, they learn to dislike learning, education, and ultimately, themselves. HOWEVER, on
Path #2, an individual who receives a proper diagnosis is on the road to receiving evidence-based interventions and accommodations leading to academic success, self-awareness, empowerment, and success. This individual now can realize their potential-- the sky is the limit!
